March must haves

It’s been a while, I know. But this post was worth the wait I promise. I’m going to share with you two things I can’t live without, flawless skin & false lashes.

First things first is flawless skin. Not many know the magic of Hourglass ambient powders and what they can really do. (Hello JLO skin!)

Allow me to introduce you to the Surreal Lighting Edit.

Yes I’m late to the party but I’m still here. Right off the bat, I wasn’t completely drawn to this this palette. When it first released last year in October, I wasn’t convinced that I needed it but next minute I found myself paying for it at the checkout.
This limited edition palette is housed in a marble case, Just like any other blogger out there, I’ve been really drawn to anything and everything white marble.
The outer casing is light and sturdy, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. Inside contains five flawless new, unseen before shades.

This has everything you need to get that fresh of the runway glow. It’s perfect to take with me while travelling & for touch ups on the go. It has a setting powder, bronzer, two blushers and of course a golden strobing powder 😍 this has a generous sized mirror inside so all I really need in my makeup bag is my Brow Wiz, mascara, some lipgloss & my urban decay all nighter setting spray. And those who know me know that I never travel light when it comes to makeup. This palette is a true game changer ❤

Let me break it down for you;

Surreal Light; Nude almost translucent all over the face powder that almost achieves that photoshopped blur. Honestly, my selfies haven’t looked better!

Surreal Glow; a peony pink shade top middle, it’s marbled with the Surreal Light for a gorgeous flushed glow. A little truly goes a long way.

Surreal Bronze Light; a soft bronze mixed with Surreal Light. This instantly warms up my complexion and isn’t too warm and is slightly cool enough to contour with. (Not that Kim-K-shave-10-pounds-off-my-face-contour)

Surreal Effect; A soft rose blush. I’m so glad they added on another blush, I can’t work with true pink blushes & the cool pink tones are swirled with a warmer peach which is perfect for my skin tone ❤

Surreal Strobe Light; this was the first shade I went in to swatch from this palette. It’s so pretty! Its a peachy Gold that Is perfect for that no makeup-makeup kind of highlight.

10/10 would recommend. Grab one before they’re gone forever.

I love false lashes, if I’m wearing eyeshadow I’m always going to be wearing false lashes. They just complete the look.
Huda beauty lashes have been the hype all over the internet. I had to see for myself if the hype was real. These lashes aren’t cheap, they’re $40 for a pair of faux mink lashes that claim to be worn up to 20 times if they’re well looked after.

First impressions, they’re dramatic. Which I love, however the quality is very identical to model rock’s double layered lashes and you can get a five pack of model rock for $25. The wear of the Huda lashes are comfortable and made me look extra fierce. Not to mention all the compliments I get while wearing them. I went for the style Farah, she looks so good when paired with a smokey eye or metallic lid.

Does it live up to the hype? Yes and no, if you can afford to spoil yourself and buy $40 lashes you won’t regret it. I always get asked what lashes I’m wearing when I have these on and they photograph amazingly. If you’re after beauty on a budget check out model rock’s double layered lashes.

You won’t be disappointed,

ciao for now. x
